Through many years of marketing, fundraising and entrepreneurship experience in both the private and nonprofit sectors, I developed a unique ability to bring seemingly disparate audiences together to resolve issues that affect them all.

Most recently, my work focuses on building capacity in nonprofits delivering year-round services in seasonal communities. I also helped many constituencies to drive excellence in public schools by identifying and scaling innovative tools and practices that improve outcomes for all students. I provided strategic consulting, program management and fundraising services to nonprofits across the US. I was the founding executive director at two community foundations (Palo Alto, CA and Martha’s Vineyard, MA), and led development teams at several organizations focused on education, high school engagement and human services. I have also consulted with many nonprofit organizations in the areas of fundraising and strategic planning, and with individuals in the areas of women’s leadership and life/career transition.

Prior to entering the nonprofit sector, I led marketing teams at Apple and several Internet service providers. I co-founded Privada, a global Internet privacy services company that created patented technology to allow individuals to control the dissemination of their personal information over the Internet. I hold a BS in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. I live in West Tisbury, MA–a year-round resident in the seasonal community of Martha’s Vineyard.
